What is the ideal university?
I see the ideal university as a place for social interaction as well as a learning environment. Depending on the way one person looks at it, GMU is already like that. I do wish for more parking though. I do support the fact that we shouldn't take so many general education classes if it doesn't fit the degree. For one, college would be finished sooner and people can really concentrate on their major. As for me, there is so much information to take in for one major or concentration that having others would blind me of my main focus. I don't feel that it is necessary to have so many general education. I do think having math and English are good to have because they are basic essentials needed in just everyday life. Classes should start no earlier than 9:30. Having a class at 7:30 is way too early. I'm just lucky I haven't had a class at that time just yet.

Religious T-Shirts
I see these t-shirts mostly as a fashion sense, but also in a way to allow the younger generation to not be ashamed of their religion because it is out there. It is a good way to express themselves, but in a way they also know it is a fashion which is more of their strive to wear these t-shirts. Certain celebrities such as Ashton Kutcher are wearing them, why can't normal people where them? Spreading it to the media makes the people who wear this feel more confident in their style because they are 'different' by expressing their religious views. I am religious enough to attend Mass every Sunday on my own free will and try to attend various religious events and celebrate most or all the certain Holy Days in the Roman Catholic calendar. Yet, I am still a growing young adult and understands the fashion world as well. It is a trend, nonetheless, it is a better trend to follow because it is allowing people to again, not be ashamed of whom they really are. Sadly, other people who are wearing these t-shirts are only doing it for the fashion.
The effect wouldn't be the same. Most people who buy these shirts are first drawn to the picture because the picture is usually of a religious figure either Jesus, Mary, Buddah, and so on. Pictures are easier to read than words are. One image can create so many words rather than taking the time to read specific words. Images are powerful. People would be confused and not many people would be attracted to the shirt anymore. It loses its' 'fashion sense.'
The first t-shirt is strictly for style. There is almost nothing religious about it except for the fact that it has Jesus' name. Jesus never wore things like that and even this day, probably wouldn't. It changes the whole concept to the Christian religion about the image of Jesus as a loving and caring being. The second one has a better image of Jesus because of the halo and the calm gesutres of giving. The first t-shirt has a gangster clothing and the second shows Jesus so pure.
