University

What is the ideal university?

I see the ideal university as a place for social interaction as well as a learning environment. Depending on the way one person looks at it, GMU is already like that. I do wish for more parking though. I do support the fact that we shouldn't take so many general education classes if it doesn't fit the degree. For one, college would be finished sooner and people can really concentrate on their major. As for me, there is so much information to take in for one major or concentration that having others would blind me of my main focus. I don't feel that it is necessary to have so many general education. I do think having math and English are good to have because they are basic essentials needed in just everyday life. Classes should start no earlier than 9:30. Having a class at 7:30 is way too early. I'm just lucky I haven't had a class at that time just yet.

  1. I would totally have to agree with your blog response. Not having early class and not taking the gen ed required class that does not fit in with my major satisfies my needs as a student. This not only would hurt my gpa, but it definitely does not benefit me in my daily life, activities, and experiences (i.e. western civ). I did not have anything to disagree with. Hopefully, changes will positive occur for the benefit of the students. (:
